Today’s first A-Block of the spring was a huge success. It was incredible to see so many clubs and activities in action. Huge shout-out to Student Council for bringing it back, and big thanks to all the club advisors and student leaders for making it happen.

SBHS students went to VSAC today for a college/career fair. Thank you to our amazing school counselors who helped make it all happen!

SBHS and the robotics team hosted the Vermont State Robotics Championship. While it was another team who took home the gold this time, our team hosted with grace and professionalism. Nice work Coach Estes and team!

Tuesday, December 16 at 6:30 PM, SBHS will host a screening of Gone Guys, a new Vermont-made documentary exploring the growing crisis of disconnection facing boys and young men in our state. The film highlights academic struggles, loneliness, and the search for purpose that many families, educators, and communities are seeing firsthand.

Since its July premiere, Gone Guys has been drawing strong turnout across Vermont and sparking important conversations about how we support boys and young men in re-engaging and finding their path.

The screening will be followed by a community conversation with a panel of local experts and supporters:
- Jason Frishman, Psychologist specializing in supporting men and adolescent boys
- Tom Fontana, SB parent and Drug and Alcohol Counselor at the University of Vermont
- Gar Smith, SBHS Prevention Coordinator
- SBPD community representative (TBD)
- Max Fontana, SBHS ‘23, UVM ‘27

All are welcome to attend and take part in this important discussion.

Student Athletics & Activities Director Mike Jabour and our SAP, Gar Smith, met with students during Advisory yesterday and today as we head into the winter sports season. Their message was straight to the point: when we show up to support our Wolves—on the court, the ice, the snow, the mats, or the track—we’ve got to do it safely, responsibly, and with the pride our community deserves.

Over the next few days, students will keep the conversation going in Advisory and will also watch a VPA-produced sportsmanship video to reinforce what it means to show up the right way.

Let’s bring the energy this winter, and let’s do it with purpose. Wolves up.

Dr. Joe Clark will be sending out a "snow day alert system" test message today at 12:05. The message should come to all students, families, and staff via email, text, and robocall. Later this week and on Monday 12/1 we will update folks via multiple means about what actions to take if you didn't get the alert or want to make changes or adjustments to your contact information.
