Dear South Burlington School District Community,
I first want to thank you for all that you do to support education within SBSD. I greatly value our partnership in support of our exceptional schools.
Today I write to you to encourage you to advocate against H454 before the vote on Monday, June 16. This bill, while I believe it aims to increase equity and education quality in all Vermont schools, does not achieve these goals. This bill will continue to negatively impact South Burlington schools, at an estimated $4.8 million dollar loss. We must move forward, however, this bill simply does not meet the mark as currently written.
