There will be a mandatory* Senior Class meeting at 10:15 am, Wednesday, May 27th, in the SBHS Auditorium. Important graduation-related information will be shared.
*If you are a co-enrolled Essex or Burlington Tech student or have an early college obligation, you should attend Tech or EC and you will receive all information shared at the meeting in writing after the meeting.
There are some remaining Grad Lawn Signs available for purchase for families who would like one to display. The cost is $25 each, cash or check payable to SBHS. You may pick them up from the Main Office M-F, 8-3:30.
The SBHS Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the University of Vermont, Patrick Gym.
The ceremony lasts approximately 90 minutes and is free and open to the public. Tickets are not necessary for attendance; all are welcome.
The ceremony will be live-streamed by Media Factory via www.mediafactory.org/sbhs It will also air on the LEARN Channel (Comcast 1094, Burlington Telecom 16 & 216). DVDs and digital files available from Media Factory.
There will be a MANDATORY rehearsal for all graduating seniors on Thursday, June 11, 11 AM @ UVM, with the Senior BBQ to follow @ Veterans' Memorial Park/Dorset Park.
Cap & Gown Pick Up for seniors will be in the lobby on Fri., May 29th 10:30 AM-1 PM and Tues., June 2nd, 2 PM-3:30 PM. Cost is $35 cash or check payable to "Scholastic Achievements". Voter registration will also be available to students wishing to register to vote during these times. Please make sure you bring a valid Gov.'t ID, like a driver's license.
· Seniors: Parent volunteers will bring supplies and help decorate your car on Sunday June 7th 2-5pm in the HS senior parking lot. If you cannot make this time or if weather is an issue, we will have a backup date of Mon., 6/8 3:45-4:45pm.
FHTMS wants to celebrate you! Please join us on Wed., 6/3 from 7:30-8:30 in the FHTMS library for a senior breakfast. See your former teachers before you go off into the big world of adulting & let us know what you have been doing, and what your plans are for after high school. While you're at it, get your 8th grade envelope (with your letter to yourself, and possibly other gems from your time at middle school!), and fill your belly before going to class. We look forward to seeing all of you!
