Fall
2006 / Instructor: Philip Galiga (652-7569)
CURRENT ASSIGNEMENTS
Homework
& Class Materials:
Students should keep a notebook/binder to help organize handouts,
work and material for this course. Students need to bring their notebook/binder
with them to class each day. It is expected that students will take
notes in class and to record their learning in their notebooks. These
notes will be included as part of the assessment of student learning.
Attendance
Expectations:
Students are expected to arrive at class on time each day ready to
work.
Classroom
Behavior Expectations:
Class participation is an important component of this course. Student
sharing of learning is necessary to keep up with the complexity of
industry software. Passive learners and students who do not actively
take part in classroom discussions will not be successful. This course
will contain both individual and group projects.
It is the
policy of South Burlington High School to not allow food or drink
in classrooms, outside of structured class events. This policy will
be maintained in this class.
Components of
Internal Assessment:
Student grades and assessments will include a variety of small and
large projects, quizzes, tests, project evaluation and critique participation.
Students need to keep on task and meet incremental project deadlines
in order to be successful. Students who actively engage and who develop
interest and excitement in the material will be met with the greatest
success.
Communication:
Parents are always welcome to communicate with the instructor via
voice or electronic mail: pgaliga@sbschools.net
or 652-7569. Students should feel free to email me or contact me with
any questions, concerns or ideas. Most of all……….have
fun.
