Course Description:  Economics

Course #267: 1/2 credit     Grade 11, 12 Elective

This course is an introduction into the nature of economics, the types of economic systems, and the characteristics of the  American private enterprise system.  Topics will include:  types of business organizations, money and banking, role of government in the economy, principles and procedures in investing, protection through insurance, how to choose a home, buying a used car, the taxation system, inflation, and the national debt.
