Course Description:     American Foreign Policy 

Course #261: 1/2 credit      Grade 11, 12 Elective

The study of American foreign policy will emphasize the post World War II diplomacy- the policy of containment, the decision and impact of dropping "the bomb" at Hiroshima, the UN, the Korean conflict, the Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam, the Middle East, Central America, and current foreign policy issues.  The course is aimed at students interested in probing world affairs and trying to determine America's place in those affairs.
