Evaluating Information Found On the Internet
This is a very useful site which provides a good description of
evaluation criteria based on authorship, point of view or bias, publishing body,
verifiability, and currency. As well as the basic information on evaluation, there are
useful links to other sites, such as "Information on Copyright and
Intellectual Property," "Understanding and Decoding URLs"
and "How to cite electronic
information."

This site from the University of North Carolina contains a tutorial
and at the end has a basic list of
evaluation questions that may be printed as a guide when searching on
the Internet.
The Good, the
Bad, the Ugly: or Why It's a Good Idea to Evaluate Web Sources
This site has examples of sites, many of which contain misleading
information to highlight the importance of evaluating web sites. It has
clear evaluation criteria in an easy to use format.
