Greetings!
We are very pleased that you are interested in
learning more about the South Burlington High
School Internship program.
The
Internship Program is directed through the
Coordinator, Director of Student Activities, and the Principal.
These team members make recommendations, develop
ideas concerning internships and revise the
program, as necessary.
My directive within this academic process is
twofold: 1) prepare and assist internship
candidates through the appropriate
"paper-process" of the Career
Development Center Internship Program and 2)
research, contact and establish meaningful
academic internships between South Burlington High
School students and the greater Burlington
business community. As in the past, the agency
supervisor will interview and select each intern.
In addition, we encourage the agency sponsor to
assist the student in developing an internship
plan, which clearly "maps" the tasks,
projects and other assignments to be completed
within the internship. The members of the
Internship Program appreciate the importance of
your organization's commitment to the educational
process and we will strive to reduce your
"paper" commitment to this program.
